Akasa Air Reaches New Heights with 42nd Aircraft Addition
Akasa Air has expanded its fleet to 42 aircraft with the induction of a Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 at Navi Mumbai Airport, marking the airline's 11th addition in CY2026. The new aircraft, bearing registration number VT-YBS, arrived on September 1.
Akasa Air emphasized that this milestone accelerates its ability to connect more destinations, serve more customers, and contribute to India's fast-growing aviation story.
The airline has placed a firm order for 226 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 186 additional planes scheduled for delivery over the next six years. Akasa Air aims to become one of the top 30 airlines globally by the turn of this decade.
