Mississauga, Brampton Create Over 5,000 Jobs from Big-Ticket Investments
A report by Site Selection highlights the success of investments in Mississauga and Brampton, creating over 5,000 new jobs last year. The two cities earned high marks on the annual list of best Canadian municipalities for investments.
The report notes that projects at any stage of development from June 1, 2025 to May 31 this year contributed to these job creations. In Mississauga, significant investments included the $500-million upgrade of Lee Li Holdings Inc.'s First Choice Beverage facility and pharmaceutical firm Eisai Co.'s corporate expansion.
In Brampton, major projects involved the $141 million Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Plant expansion and Mobile Climate Control's manufacturing and R&D facility. Both cities have seen growth in key industries such as advanced manufacturing and food and beverage manufacturing.
