Akasa Eyes Record Boeing Order for 200+ Jets Amid Indian Aviation Boom
Akasa Air is considering a massive order for over 200 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, according to Bloomberg. This would be in addition to its existing order book of 183 unfilled jets and 43 currently in operation.
The proposed deal aims to support Akasa's expansion beyond 2032, taking advantage of the growing aviation market in India.
Akasa Air has already ordered 150 additional 737 MAX aircraft from Boeing in January 2024, bringing its total order book to 226 jets at the time. The airline continues to take deliveries and currently operates a fleet of 43 737 MAX jets.
