Akeso's Lung Cancer Treatment Hits Milestone with Positive Trial Results
Akeso's lung cancer treatment, AK112 (AK112), has posted impressive overall survival data in a pivotal clinical trial. This milestone raises Akeso's target price to HK$130 ($17) according to CICC's latest research report.
The registrational Phase 3 HARMONI-2 study compared AK112 against Merck & Co.'s pembrolizumab (Keytruda) for first-line treatment of PD-L1-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The data showed that AK112 outperformed Keytruda in overall survival.
This is the first time a PD-1/VEGF bispecific antibody monotherapy has read out complete overall survival data in the first-line NSCLC setting. CICC believes AK112's success could redefine the standard of care in this space.
