Albany Extends Composite Frame Deal with Boeing
Albany Engineered Composites has secured a new agreement to continue manufacturing composite fuselage frames for Boeing's 787 Dreamliner aircraft. The company, a segment of Albany International Corp., will produce approximately 300 unique composite fuselage frames, including forward sections 41 and 43 and aft section 47.
The partnership between Albany and Boeing has been successful over the past decade, with the company having manufactured composite fuselage frames for sections 41 and 43 since receiving Boeing's original award in 2014. The work will continue to be performed at Albany's facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Chris Stone, president of Albany Engineered Composites, expressed excitement about continuing this long-standing partnership: 'We are excited to continue this partnership, built over more than a decade of successful collaboration.'
