Albany Re-ups with Boeing on 787 Composite Frame Deal
Albany Engineered Composites has secured an agreement with Boeing to continue manufacturing composite fuselage frames for the 787 Dreamliner.
The contract extension will see Albany producing around 300 unique frames, including forward sections 41 and 43 and aft section 47.
This is not a new partnership, as Albany has been working with Boeing since 2014 to supply these components. The work is carried out at Albany's facility in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Chris Stone, president of Albany Engineered Composites, expressed his excitement about continuing the collaboration, saying 'We are fully committed to supporting the ramp of the 787 program with the consistency, quality and reliability our customers have come to expect from Albany.'
