Albany Secures Deal to Continue Boeing 787 Frame Manufacturing
Albany Engineered Composites has secured an agreement with Boeing to continue producing composite fuselage frames for the 787 Dreamliner. Under this deal, Albany will manufacture approximately 300 unique composite frames, including forward sections 41 and 43 and aft section 47. This partnership marks a continuation of their successful collaboration, which began in 2014 when Boeing awarded Albany its original contract.
The company has been producing composite fuselage frames for Sections 41 and 43 since then, with the work being performed at Albany's facility in Salt Lake City, Utah. Chris Stone, president of Albany Engineered Composites, expressed excitement about continuing this partnership, stating, 'We are excited to continue this partnership, built over more than a decade of successful collaboration.'
