ALDI Saves the Day with Waterloo's Root Beer Float
Nellah McGough, a Southern Living editor, recently found herself craving her favorite seasonal drink after switching to a low-carb diet. She tried various flavored sparkling waters but couldn't shake off the taste of regular Coca-Cola.
A friend recommended Waterloo's Root Beer Float, which she could find at Whole Foods. McGough was thrilled to discover that the store had a stack of cases and immediately bought one to try it out.
Waterloo's Root Beer Float impressed McGough with its authentic root beer taste despite being sugar- and sweetener-free. However, her joy was short-lived as she soon discovered that Whole Foods had stopped carrying the flavor due to its seasonal status.
MCGough even wrote to Waterloo, begging them to make the flavor year-round. Her husband later found cases of the drink at ALDI, a grocery store chain, which saved the day for McGough and her family.
