Almonty Industries Soars as Tungsten Prices Skyrocket Amid Global Supply-Chain Risk
Almonty Industries has caught the attention of major international investment houses due to its strategic positioning in the tungsten market. Analysts at Jefferies, Goldman Sachs, and Stifel are now covering the stock after seeing a surge in prices driven by global supply-chain risk in tungsten.
The prices have increased 775% since the start of 2025 following China's introduction of export controls. The country controlled about 80% of worldwide mine production in 2025 and held around 85% of downstream ammonium paratungstate refining capacity, leading to a shortage in the market.
Almonty sits well-positioned to meet this demand as it ramps up production at its Sangdong mine in South Korea. Commercial tungsten output began just over a week ago, with more than 90% of Phase I production already contractually committed through fixed agreements.
