Almonty Stock: Bulls and Bears Clash Over Price Targets
Almonty Industries has sparked a lively debate among Wall Street analysts after Stifel and Goldman Sachs issued conflicting price targets. Stifel initiated coverage with a Buy rating and set a target of $25.00, while Goldman Sachs had already taken a Neutral stance with a target of $13.00.
The market initially sided with the bulls, as Almonty's stock closed Friday's session at EUR 12.09, up 11 percent from the previous day. However, this advance has since been partially reversed, with the shares slipping 2.3 percent to EUR 11.76 in the latest session.
Goldman Sachs' cautious approach reflects its expectation of normalizing tungsten prices and a slower ramp-up at Almonty's Sangdong mine than some market participants anticipate. In contrast, Stifel is more optimistic about the company's prospects, viewing the start of production as a key catalyst for fresh buying interest.
Despite these differing views, both analysts agree on the significance of Almonty's binding offtake agreements with Global Tungsten & Powders and Wolfram Bergbau und Hütten AG. These contracts provide crucial revenue streams for the company and have been cited by bulls as a key factor supporting its valuation.
