Alphabet, Inc., parent company of Google, is reportedly considering issuing Australian dollar bonds. According to Bloomberg, the tech giant has engaged banking institutions to facilitate its inaugural offering of Australian dollar-denominated bonds, which could include four maturities extending up to two decades.

This move comes as major tech companies like Alphabet, Meta Platforms, and Amazon.com accumulate vast resources to propel AI development. In a recent bond sale, Alphabet successfully priced $25 billion worth of bonds in the U.S. dollar market, while also issuing securities in various other currencies, including Swiss francs, British pounds, euros, Canadian dollars, and Japanese yen.

Notably, Intel has secured over $20 billion from an equity offering, while Oracle anticipates raising between $45 billion and $50 billion through a combination of debt and stock this fiscal year. Although these monumental investments in AI have driven the stock market to new peaks, rising yields have sparked concerns about generating profits from such expenditures.
