Alphabet Hit with Class Action Lawsuit Over Delayed AI Model Launch
The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz has filed a class action lawsuit against Alphabet Inc., the parent company of Google, on behalf of investors who purchased Alphabet common stock between May 19, 2026 and July 16, 2026.
The complaint alleges that during this period, Defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, they failed to disclose that the Gemini 3.5 Pro AI model was delivering disappointing training results, which would lead to a significant delay in its launch.
On July 16, 2026, Bloomberg reported that Google was 'months behind schedule' on delivering the Gemini 3.5 Pro, causing Alphabet's Class A common stock price to fall $16.46, or 4.4%, to close at $354.46 per share, while its Class C common stock price fell $16.39, or 4.4%, to close at $353.58 per share.
Investors who purchased Alphabet common stock during the Class Period may move the Court to ask for appointment as lead plaintiff no later than 60 days from the date of this notice.
