ALS Advocate Brooke Eby Dies at 37 After Four-Year Battle
Brooke Eby, a prominent ALS advocate and social media creator, passed away on Thursday night at the age of 37 after a four-year battle with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Diagnosed in 2022, Eby had gained millions of followers by documenting her illness with humor, candor, and vulnerability.
Eby founded ALStogether, an online peer Slack community connecting individuals living with ALS and their caregivers, which she integrated into the ALS Network in 2026 to expand its reach and long-term resources. Her advocacy also inspired Salesforce colleagues to establish ALSforce, an internal employee group that raised funds for medical research.
Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff paid tribute to Eby on X following the announcement of her death, describing her as 'an amazing warrior with an attitude so positive it could melt a glacier.'
