Alswaha Talks AI Expansion with Top Tech Firms
Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha has been meeting with executives from top tech companies to accelerate AI infrastructure expansion in Saudi Arabia. His recent visit to Seattle included talks with Amazon Web Services (AWS) CEO Matt Garman and Microsoft Chairman and CEO Satya Nadella.
The meetings focused on speeding up the development of the AI Zone, a partnership between HUMAIN and AWS, as well as deploying AWS Trainium accelerators in Saudi's computing infrastructure. Alswaha also discussed expanding the use of AWS AI services to run models and applications at scale.
In addition, he met with Nadella to discuss accelerating AI adoption across government entities and companies, strengthening national capabilities in AI and advanced technologies. This effort aims to support the digital economy and Saudi Arabia's position in AI and advanced technologies.
