Alyeska Investment Group L.P. has acquired a new stake in International Business Machines Corporation (NYSE:IBM), purchasing 449,621 shares of the technology company's stock valued at approximately $126,438,000 during the second quarter.

This is not an isolated incident, as other institutional investors and hedge funds have also modified their holdings of IBM. For instance, BlackRock Inc. purchased a new stake in shares of International Business Machines during the second quarter valued at $21,586,659,000.

IBM has been making headlines with several strategic announcements. The company partnered with NASA to release an open-source AI model trained on decades of lunar observation data, outperforming widely used mapping methods by up to 23%. Additionally, IBM and Lockheed Martin are establishing a quantum innovation hub at ETH Zurich through Switzerland’s defense-offset program.
