Alzheimer's Advocates Push for Google Calendar Recognition
A.L.M.A., an organization dedicated to raising awareness about Alzheimer's disease, has launched a campaign called #NoOlvidesRecordar to ensure that World Alzheimer's Day is remembered on Google Calendar. Every September 21st, people around the world commemorate this day to support those living with the disease and their families.
However, World Alzheimer's Day often gets lost amidst other celebrations such as Spring Day and Student's Day. To address this issue, A.L.M.A. approached Google and requested that the date be officially incorporated into the platform's global calendar.
The campaign's idea is simple yet powerful: if millions of people use Google Calendar every day to remember important dates, why not make World Alzheimer's Day a permanent fixture on the platform? By adding this date, A.L.M.A. aims to raise awareness and remind people that behind every diagnosis is a person, a family, and a story.
