Amazon Air Boeing 767 Crashes at Miami International Airport After Runway Overrun

An Amazon Air Boeing 767 freighter crashed at Miami International Airport on September 6, 2026, after apparently overrunning the runway. The aircraft, a Boeing 767-33AER(BDSF) with registration N1997A, was operating Amazon Air flight CSB7598 from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

According to videos from the scene, the plane came to rest outside the airport perimeter and caught fire. Emergency services responded quickly, but the full extent of the damage is still unknown.

The aircraft was operated by 21 Air for Amazon Air, a US cargo network that relies on partner airlines. This incident recalls the February 2019 crash of Atlas Air Flight 3591, another Boeing 767 freighter operating for Amazon, which crashed near Houston while flying from Miami.
