Amazon Alexa Plus glitch has devices singing lalala endlessly
An odd and unsettling bug in the Amazon Alexa Plus system has left some users baffled. Affected Echo smart home speakers have been caught repeating the phrase “lalala” for minutes at a time, often interrupting ongoing conversations. When users ask Alexa about the behavior, the virtual assistant appears to have no memory of the incident.
The issue has been widely reported on Reddit over the past few weeks, with the latest complaints surfacing just three days ago. Multiple users have shared videos documenting the strange behavior, which occurs across various Echo speaker models. One such video was uploaded by Android Authority to YouTube.
Amazon has acknowledged the problem, confirming to Android Authority that it is a bug impacting a “small number of Alexa Plus” users. The company has stated that a fix is in development but has not provided a specific timeline for its release.
