Amazon, Alphabet Lead Cloud Computing Growth as Microsoft Lags Behind
The cloud computing giants Amazon and Alphabet are seeing significant growth in their AI workload demand. According to Keithen Drury, The Motley Fool, this is due to the incredible AI revolution that these three companies are primed to cash in on.
AWS and Google Cloud growth rates are accelerating. AWS' revenue rose 37% year over year in Q2, while Alphabet's Google Cloud saw a 82% increase in revenue during the same period.
Microsoft Azure is also growing at an impressive pace of 43%, but its growth rate has been stagnant for the past few quarters. Drury notes that unless Microsoft can start reporting meaningful revenue acceleration in its Azure division, it will be left behind by AWS and Google Cloud.
Amazon and Alphabet are looking like better investments than Microsoft right now, with their cloud computing growth rates outpacing those of their competitor. Drury suggests avoiding Microsoft until it can accelerate its cloud growth.
