Amazon Becomes Fifth Company to Reach Trillion-Dollar Market Value
Amazon's market capitalization has surpassed $3 trillion for the first time, making it one of only five companies to achieve this milestone.
This achievement comes just over two years after Amazon hit $2 trillion in June 2024 and more than six years since it first reached $1 trillion in late 2018.
The company's shares rose as much as 5.3% on Monday, adding to the rally seen last week following its second-quarter earnings report that showed accelerating cloud-computing revenue for Amazon Web Services.
Amazon joins Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Apple as the only companies with a market value of over $3 trillion.
