Amazon Blocks Meta Shopping Bot Amid Delivery Network Expansion
Amazon has blocked Meta's new AI shopping agent Muse from its platform after accusing it of violating terms of service.
The Seattle-based company claims that the agent, which was launched in early September, routes unauthorized access to Amazon's catalogs, harvests customer data, and stores login credentials without prior notice or labeling.
This move comes as Amazon is pouring $1.9 billion into its delivery infrastructure and raising wages for US operations staff.
The company has taken a defensive posture in the past, blocking similar tools from OpenAI and Google, and pursuing legal action against automated shopping services.
