Amazon Bolsters Cybersecurity Expertise with Kevin Mandia Board Appointment

Cybersecurity expert Kevin Mandia has joined Amazon's Board of Directors. The appointment was made on September 8, reflecting Amazon's commitment to having cybersecurity expertise at the Board level.

Mandia brings over 30 years of experience combating cyber threats across public and private sectors. He is the founder and CEO of Armadin, Inc., a cybersecurity company that helps secure complex environments worldwide, and co-founder and general partner of Ballistic Ventures, a venture capital firm focused on funding the next generation of security entrepreneurs.

Mandia's background also includes serving as the CEO of Mandiant, Inc., which was acquired by Google LLC in September 2022. He has held various advisory roles, including the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee (NSTAC) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) Cybersecurity Advisory Committee.
