Amazon Boosts Minimum Hourly Pay to $20 for US Operations Workers

Amazon has increased its minimum hourly pay for eligible US operations workers by $1 to $20. This change affects full-time employees and is part of a broader effort to support staff benefits.

The company also introduced 'Day 1 Financial,' a new benefit offering low-cost banking services through First Tech Federal Credit Union to qualified employees and their families, providing lifetime access.

This move follows Amazon's existing benefits package, which includes healthcare coverage for as little as $5 per week, free Prime membership, and prepaid education programs. The average total compensation now exceeds $32 per hour, including the value of these benefits.
