Amazon Boosts Prime Refunds to Millions More Customers

Amazon has agreed to expand its Prime refunds to more customers as part of a $2.5 billion settlement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The revised order, approved by a federal court this week, increases potential payments from up to $51 to $200 and expands eligibility to customers who used between 11 and 20 Prime benefits during one year.

Under the original order, some customers received refunds of up to $51. However, the revised order raises the maximum payment to $200 and makes millions more customers eligible for payments.

The FTC said Amazon will accelerate and expand payments under the September 2025 settlement. The company must provide $1.5 billion in required consumer redress under the agreement.
