Amazon Brings Drone Delivery to Northeast Ohio

Amazon has launched its Prime Air drone delivery service in Northeast Ohio, specifically targeting customers within a 7.5-mile radius of its CLE2 fulfillment center in North Randall.

The company's MK30 drones are used for the service, which carries items weighing up to 5 pounds and measuring up to the size of a large shoebox.

This is Amazon's first drone delivery site in Ohio, with 21 drones operating from the CLE2 facility. The FAA has authorized the flights, which run during daylight hours only.

The service offers free delivery for Prime members on orders over $50, and a fee of $2.99 for smaller orders or for non-Prime customers at $4.99.
