Amazon Brings Satellite Internet to Uzbekistan via Leo Partnership

Amazon is expanding its satellite internet service, Leo, to Uzbekistan. The company has partnered with regional ISP Uztelecom to bring connectivity to hard-to-reach areas of the country.

Uztelecom already covers a significant portion of communities in Uzbekistan, but Amazon's Leo will help fill gaps in mountainous regions and remote deserts where traditional cabled internet is challenging to deploy.

The exact timeline for Leo's launch in Uzbekistan is unclear, as the service is still being tested with employees and select enterprise customers before a wider rollout later this year.
