Amazon Cargo Plane Crash Claims Five Lives in Miami

A tragic incident at Miami International Airport has left families mourning the loss of five men who died in an Amazon cargo plane crash. Julio Pineda, a 75-year-old Cuban immigrant and 'wizard chef,' was among those killed. He was a beloved figure in his community, known for cooking for his family, friends, and neighbors.

Pineda's attorney, Mark Lopez-Trigo, described him as an outstanding man who was well loved in his community. Lopez-Trigo has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Amazon, its contracted operator 21 Air, and other entities, including the pilots, over the deadly crash.

The investigation into the crash is ongoing, with officials stating that it could be months before a final report is ready. The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has collected evidence from the scene, including the aircraft's black box flight recorder, which suggests the pilots tried to abort the landing attempt but were unable to do so.

The lawsuit aims to determine how the incident happened and where any blame lies for the deaths. Lopez-Trigo stated that justice comes in three forms: recovering personal items, getting answers to questions, and making sure such an incident never happens again.
