Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami Airport, Five Dead

A cargo plane operated by 21 Air and flying on behalf of Amazon crashed at Miami International Airport, resulting in the deaths of at least five people. The Boeing 767-300 aircraft was arriving from Puerto Rico when it overran the runway during landing and collided with cars in a parking lot.

According to authorities, several people were taken to local hospitals with injuries, with three of them in critical condition. Miami Fire Chief Raed Jadallah confirmed that five people were injured.

The plane, which was manufactured in 1994 and converted into a cargo plane in 2016, was supposed to land on runway 30, but it ended up overrunning the runway at a speed of approximately 207 km/h. The incident caused a fire at the scene, with some victims reportedly trapped inside the cars that were struck.

The airport was closed after the incident, resulting in flight delays and cancellations, but operations resumed later with two of the four runways available for use.
