Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes at Miami International Airport

An Amazon Air cargo aircraft operated by 21 Air on behalf of Amazon crashed at Miami International Airport on September 6, resulting in the deaths of at least five people.

The Boeing 767-300 freighter was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico, when it overran the runway and struck several vehicles at around 2pm local time. The two pilots were among those taken to hospital.

Local officials reported that three critically injured individuals remain hospitalized following the accident. Emergency services deployed more than 60 rescue units and around 200 personnel to the scene, where responders dealt with a fire and fuel leak.
