An Amazon Prime cargo plane overran a runway at Miami International Airport on September 6, striking multiple vehicles on the ground. The Boeing 767-300 cargo plane, operated by 21 Air and carrying Amazon Prime cargo, had departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The aircraft caught fire after overrunning the diagonal runway at around 2 p.m. EDT, with heavy flames and smoke showing. Firefighters responded to extinguish the fire and assess patients.

Airport officials closed all runways and taxiways, implementing a full ground stop. Passengers were advised to check their flight status updates before heading to the airport.
