Amazon Cargo Plane Crashes Outside Miami Airport

A Boeing 767-300 cargo aircraft operated by 21 Air overran the runway while landing at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon. The plane was arriving from San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the incident occurred around 2 p.m. ET.

Videos taken at the scene show plumes of smoke billowing from the area where the aircraft came to rest on a road outside the airport.

The FAA identified the plane as being operated by 21 Air, which lists Amazon's Prime Air as one of its customers on its website. However, Amazon did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
