Amazon Cargo Plane Overshoots Miami Runway

A Boeing 767 cargo aircraft overran the runway at Miami International Airport on Sunday afternoon. The plane, which departed from Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico, landed safely but continued past the end of the runway.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) confirmed that the incident occurred around 2 p.m. local time and a ground stop was put in place due to the disabled aircraft on the runway.

CNN has reached out to Amazon, which is believed to own the aircraft, for comment but had not received a response at the time of publication.
