Amazon CEO Andy Jassy Predicts $1 Trillion AWS Business
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has been on fire lately, crushing it in terms of growth and revenue. According to its CEO Andy Jassy, AWS could become a $1 trillion annual revenue business someday.
This prediction is not without merit, given the company's current trajectory. In Q2, AWS posted a 37% growth rate, the best in years, and has been seeing huge demand for computing resources. In fact, Jassy noted that Amazon will not have enough computing capacity to meet demand in 2026 and that the shortage is also expected to last into 2027.
This level of demand is justifying Amazon's massive spending bill, with $220 billion allocated for capital expenditures in 2026. The company is already seeing demand for 2028 computing pop up, which is a testament to its long-term prospects.
