Amazon Cuts 121 Jobs in Washington State Amid Ongoing Restructuring
Amazon has laid off 121 workers in Washington state as part of an ongoing restructuring effort. The layoffs, which were announced earlier this week, affect corporate and fulfillment employees across various locations.
The largest number of cuts was at the SEA106 building in Bellevue, where 49 employees lost their jobs, including several senior-level positions such as a vice president of legal and senior software managers. Other impacted roles include directors, product managers, and technical writers in Seattle's downtown office buildings.
Additionally, 32 positions were cut at the BFI1 fulfillment center in Sumner, affecting warehouse associates, service technicians, and safety specialists. According to Amazon spokesperson Brad Glasser, the company regularly reviews its structures to ensure they are 'best set up to deliver on their goals.'
This latest round of layoffs follows previous cuts earlier this summer, as well as larger reductions in February and October 2025. The tech sector has seen a number of layoffs across Washington state in recent months.
