Citi and JPMorgan Chase are reportedly in talks to join Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley as underwriters for OpenAI's upcoming IPO. The listing, expected within weeks, would value the ChatGPT maker at $852 billion.

The confidential IPO filing is said to be one of the most closely watched tech offerings this year, with rival Anthropic planning a major listing soon. OpenAI led by Sam Altman aims for a possible public listing as early as September.

Anthropic's recent funding round valued it at $965 billion, surpassing OpenAI's valuation. However, OpenAI continues to expand rapidly driven by strong growth in its AI agent tools and increasing adoption among enterprise customers.
