Amazon Cuts Echo Dot Price by 50% in Limited-Time Deal
Amazon has slashed the price of its newest Echo Dot speaker by 50%, dropping it from $79.99 to $39.99. The discount applies to all customers, regardless of whether they have a Prime membership, and the deal is labeled as a limited-time offer.
The latest Echo Dot stands out with two built-in sensors: one for motion and another for indoor temperature. These sensors can trigger Alexa routines, such as turning on lights when you enter a room or activating a fan when the temperature rises above a set threshold. The device also features eero Built-in, allowing it to function as a mesh Wi-Fi extender, adding up to 1,000 square feet of coverage, but only if you already have an eero network.
As a speaker, the Echo Dot supports music, podcasts, and audiobooks from services like Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify. It can also be paired with other Echo devices for multi-room audio or connected to a Fire TV for TV sound. The device includes standard Alexa features like weather updates, timers, and alarm snoozing, along with privacy controls such as a microphone-off button.
The Echo Dot is available in three colors, Deep Sea Blue, Charcoal, and Glacier White, and the current price applies to a single speaker without additional accessories. Bundles with a wall mount or stand are sold separately at higher prices.
