Amazon has introduced its first digital photo frame with built-in Alexa, called the Alexa Photo Frame. The device features a 10-inch high-definition anti-glare touchscreen, designed to mimic the look of an ordinary photo frame with soft-white matting and real wood. The screen adjusts its brightness based on ambient lighting to enhance the viewing experience.
The frame pulls images from Amazon Photos, which offers free photo storage for Prime members. Alexa+ can automatically select the best images, such as those where you're smiling or match the current season. It also filters out screenshots and receipts. Users can choose specific people to feature on the frame, ensuring that images of selected individuals are automatically synced and displayed.
Powered by Alexa, the frame allows users to find specific images using voice commands, such as "Show me photos from our last trip to Italy." The AI can also display images side-by-side if they share common themes. Additionally, users can add voice notes to photos to share memories associated with them.
The Alexa Photo Frame is available starting at $200 for the Black version and $230 for real Birch or Walnut wood frames. Each device comes with 90 days of free Alexa+, after which a Prime subscription is required to access certain features.
