Amazon Delivery Truck Crashes into Traffic Control Vehicle on I-95
Two workers were killed in a crash on I-95 in southeast Georgia when an Amazon delivery vehicle collided with their traffic control truck. The incident occurred around 6:15 am on Monday, April 17th, near mile marker 87. According to the Georgia State Patrol, James Ray Norris and Johnny Lee Ingram, both 35 years old, were standing outside their Ford F-600 traffic control truck when it was hit by a Freightliner box truck driven by an Amazon delivery service vehicle.
The collision caused the traffic control truck to overturn over the guardrail, resulting in the deaths of Norris and Ingram. The bodies were found on the roadway after the crash. An Amazon spokesperson confirmed that the incident involved one of their delivery vehicles.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the cause of the crash.
