On Sunday afternoon in Fenton, Missouri, an Amazon delivery driver named Carl McCasland had a close call when a crossbow arrow flew through his windshield and pierced multiple packages. The arrow was fired from approximately 100 yards away and traveled past trees, houses, cars, and a playground set before striking the truck.

McCasland said he was making deliveries on Hamilton Meadows Drive when he heard something. Initially thinking it was a bullet, he later found the projectile - a crossbow arrow - which had caused significant damage to his windshield and several packages.

The Amazon driver ducked for cover in the back of the truck and called 911. Neighbors who were waiting for their own packages noticed the delivery truck sitting in the area for an extended period.

St. Louis County Police found the man responsible for firing the crossbow, who claimed it was an accident while testing a new crossbow. No citations have been issued at this time.
