Amazon Drone Drops Package in Hot Tub During Viral Video

A recent viral video shows an Amazon Prime Air drone landing in a Texas backyard pool. The footage, credited to Lindsey Austen via Storyful, captures the moment when the drone drops its package into the hot tub below.

The incident occurred in Richmond, Texas, one of the locations where Amazon recently expanded its drone delivery service. In a statement, Amazon spokesperson Lindsay Hamilton said that incidents like this are 'extremely rare.'

'Prime Air provides customers with fast, reliable delivery across a broad selection of products,' Hamilton wrote. 'Incidents are extremely rare, and when a delivery doesn’t go as planned, we learn from it to improve the experience and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.'
