Amazon's God of War Show Recasts Kratos Role with Dave Bautista

The Amazon Prime Video adaptation of God of War has made a significant casting change. Dave Bautista will now play the starring role of Kratos, replacing Ryan Hurst who suffered an injury on set while performing a stunt.

Hurst's injury required surgery and would have kept him out of commission for several months, forcing the production team to recast the role.

Bautista was rumored to be the second choice to play Kratos, and this speculation has now been confirmed. The show already had a two-season order and renowned writer and executive producer Ronald D. Moore attached to it.
