Amazon Drops $3 Billion Bombshell in India's Quick Commerce Wars
Amazon is investing $3 billion in its quick commerce business across India through 2030. This investment will support its Amazon Now service and increase its presence in India's rapidly growing instant delivery market. The plan includes $1 billion by the end of 2027 and another $2 billion by 2030.
The company will focus on expanding warehouses, improving technology systems, and increasing product availability to target faster deliveries. Amazon will use the investment to expand its neighborhood warehouse network and strengthen delivery operations. It plans to increase its Amazon Now stores to about 1,300 locations by April.
India's quick commerce sector has expanded rapidly as consumers continue shifting toward faster delivery services. However, Amazon remains behind several domestic competitors that established larger networks earlier. The company's latest investment represents a major push to increase its market presence.
