Amazon Expands Satellite Network with Six New Rocket Launches
Amazon has ordered six additional Ariane 6 rocket launches to expand its Amazon Leo satellite network, aiming to compete with SpaceX's Starlink.
The move comes despite Amazon Leo already having nearly 400 satellites in orbit and signing enterprise deals with companies like Delta and Vodafone. However, it remains behind Starlink, which serves millions of users.
Amazon's strong financial backing and diversified launch partners give it a solid foundation, but it needs to increase launch cadence and publicize coverage and subscriber data to close the gap.
