Amazon Expands Weight-Loss Drug Access to Medicare Beneficiaries

Amazon's pharmacy arm is expanding access to weight-loss drugs for Medicare beneficiaries. The company announced that eligible patients can obtain GLP-1 medications, including Wegovy, for $50 per month through a new federal program.

The service will automate eligibility checks, prior authorizations, and billing, streamlining access for patients. Amazon Pharmacy will also provide home delivery and in-store pickup options.

Amazon One Medical's GLP-1 management program has already expanded into the weight-loss market, integrating virtual and in-person care, prescription management, and pharmacy fulfillment to support long-term weight management.
