Amazon's quick-commerce arm in India has crossed $1 billion in annualized gross sales over three months, making it the fastest scale-up of any e-commerce unit in its history. The platform, Amazon Now, has doubled orders every quarter since launch and now processes around 700,000 daily orders.

The service has expanded fourfold in under ten weeks, reaching more than 60 cities and towns through a network of over 750 micro- and urban-fulfillment centers. Amazon aims to cover over 300 cities nationally by targeting 100 cities by Diwali and 1,000 dark stores by the end of the year.

Amazon's push in India is part of its broader momentum, with worldwide net sales increasing 20% year-over-year to $200.6 billion for the second quarter of 2026. Its International segment, which includes India, posted a 15% increase in net sales to $42.2 billion.
