Amazon Investor Sells $800K Stake Amid Strong Growth
A major investor in Amazon has reduced its stake in the company by nearly $800,000. Capital Investment Services of America sold 2,975 shares during the second quarter, trimming its holding by 2.3% to 126,495 shares.
The remaining stake was valued at about $30.1 million at the end of the quarter. This move comes as institutional ownership remains high in Amazon, with funds and other large investors holding around 72.2% of the company's shares.
Despite this reduced stake, analysts remain focused on Amazon's operating growth. The company recently reported a strong quarterly performance, with revenue up 19.6% year over year to $200.6 billion. AWS revenue also increased by 36.7% to $42.2 billion.
