Egypt and Cisco Pledge Deeper Partnership on AI and Digital Transformation

Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly met with Cisco Systems' Chairman and CEO Chuck Robbins to discuss expanding their cooperation in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, innovation, and skills development. The meeting aimed to deepen Egypt's partnership with Cisco and increase the company's investments and activities in the country.

Madbouly described Cisco as a strategic partner for Egypt, emphasizing the importance of providing clear and stable frameworks for cooperation. He also called for expanding Cisco's training programs, particularly those that help Egyptian youth obtain internationally recognized technology certifications.

Cisco has already made significant progress in its partnership with Egypt, with education and digital skills development being key priorities. The company has trained around 670,000 students in Egypt so far, and plans to increase this number significantly. Robbins highlighted opportunities for cooperation on innovation, including establishing innovation centers, addressing cybersecurity risks associated with AI, and developing AI-powered applications.

The two sides agreed to continue coordination on new cooperation opportunities, particularly in AI, cybersecurity, innovation, skills development, and advanced technology applications, to further strengthen their strategic partnership.
