Amazon Invests $1.9 Billion in Delivery Service Partner Program
Amazon is investing an additional $1.9 billion in its Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program, which supports independent businesses that employ drivers for package delivery.
The company has invested a total of $21.7 billion in the program since its inception in 2018 and anticipates that over the past three years its investments will have helped DSP owners increase driver pay by an average of 16% nationwide, with national average earnings rising to nearly $24 per hour.
Amazon is also investing in safety initiatives, including surround-view cameras, dynamic hazard alerts, and advanced AI techniques to identify driving trends that may lead to accidents. The company aims to build the safest delivery network in the world.
