Amazon Joins Exclusive Club with $3 Trillion Market Valuation
Amazon's market capitalisation has reached a staggering $3 trillion, joining an elite group of Wall Street giants that includes Nvidia, Alphabet, Microsoft, and Apple.
The e-commerce and cloud-computing company saw its shares surge as much as 5.3% in early US trade, adding to the rally seen last week after Amazon reported accelerating cloud-computing revenue.
This milestone was reached just over two years after Amazon first hit $2 trillion in June 2024, and less than six years since it first broke through the $1 trillion mark in late 2018.
Despite the rally, Amazon's valuation is still about 44% cheaper than its average over the last decade, with a forward earnings multiple of around 25 times for the next 12 months.
