Amazon Kindles Get a Fresh Coat of Paint as OpenAI Unveils Dots
Amazon has released its new Kindles, which feature a flush front screen and an option for an aluminum back. The devices also come in several new colors. One of the standout features is the compatibility with cases that have page turn buttons, making it easier to navigate through books.
The Paperwhite and Colorsoft Signature Editions are part of this lineup, and they also support a 'Kindle Click' remote that allows users to adjust brightness and turn pages without having to physically touch the device. While Jay Peters has been using an old Kindle for years, he notes that these new models would be tempting options if his current one suddenly broke.
OpenAI has released its Dots, which are a series of AI agents designed to assist with work-related tasks. The company pitches them as a tool for professionals, rather than a personal assistant like Siri or Alexa. Peters finds the Dots to be adorable, but notes that they might be outshone by OpenAI's Muse mascots in terms of cuteness.
Other notable releases include The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Remastered, which adds new features and visual improvements to the game. Bose has also released its Noise Cancelling Wired Earbuds, which feature noise cancellation and an in-line remote for adjusting volume.
